Phone Questions
In order for me to get updates, I\’m told by tech support that i have to reset my phone to factory pre-sets. However, I have apps, books, etc that I don\’t want to lose. Is there a way to back up the phone data so that I can get my stuff back? Also, has anyone else received error 8007005 when trying to update? HTC, Microsoft, and Zune support have been a pain in the butt.

First you need to download the Zune software: http://www.zune.net/en-US/products/software/default.htm
Then every time you connect your phone to your computer, an automatic backup is created, so you don\’t have to worry about making one.
Just restore your phone under settings>update in the zune software, and everything will appear back on your phone. You will, although, have to reinstall all the apps you had.

I had issue updating but it was a different error code: 800705B4
I was able to use the Windows Phone Support Tool to fix it, but yours might be a different issue.
