I don’t have a texting plan, but I want to text for free while keeping my original phone number because I don’t want to always have to give out a separate number for texting. Something easy, fun, and simple to use.

No such thing
Texting is handled by phone carrier, and they charge.
Any such “free texting” is done through WiFi and PRETENDS to be texting by sending stuff through a gateway. Thus, it is using THEIR number and it cannot use your number, as any text sent to YOUR number is send through your carrier, not the free texting thingie.
