> asks:
I have an android fusion. I just use wifi because I don’t have data but I cant find a way to totally disable the data. The data isn’t on but it is on standby and it is killing my battery life. I already clicked the data disabled button but I guess my phone is still connected to the 3g tower somehow. So is there anyway to totally disable this stupid 3g because it is using half of my battery life

Hey ,
no 3G isnt just used for data granted yes thats the best part of it your phone is a smart phone so it runs off a better network then CDMA or gps, or GPRS you cant stop it from running off 3G because even talking on the phone and sending texts is threw 3G its pretty hard to find a phone that dont now days (besides blackberry but really who likes blackberry) if your battery is draining its 1. because its a smart phone and well thats what they do best and 2. you prolly have apps running in the background that your not even aware of i have a evo 3D that i use all day long surfing the internet calling texting playing games my charge gets me threw the day and my wifi is on all day wether im by wifi or not. download an app called advance task killer it will show you all the stuff running in the background and you cann kill them so they dont suck up your battery the app is free ill post a link below, and you can also go to settings, then applications and then click on running applications and “force stop” the apps you dont want to be running. hope this helps ill psot our facebook page give us a like we do alot of help videos and such for people ill also post our youtube channel
